Listen! click hear to choose from episodes

Rare Air is the Alder Institute's sound series about species at risk. It has a twin focus: the Piping Plover and wildlife in Labrador.

The Alder Institute makes copies of Rare Air available to community radio stations, at no cost. If your station would like to broadcast Rare Air, we would love to hear from you at alder@alderinstitute.ca.

We are also committed to making copies of Rare Air  available to the public. You can request a CD copy of an episode of Rare Air by emailing alder@alderinstitute.ca.

Rare Air is brought to you in part by the Mountain Equipment Co-op's Environment Fund and the Habitat Stewardship Program for Species at Risk (HSP). The HSP is a partnership-based conservation initiative sponsored by the Government of Canada. The program is managed cooperatively by Environment Canada, the Department of Fisheries and Oceans and Parks Canada. It is administered by Environment Canada.
